It's a pseudo search, saying
"Rome is everybody's, Rome is beautiful, Rome is light, Rome is eternal, Rome is home, Rome is poetry, Rome is art, Rome is roots..."
So not a search, but real markers of what this city is all about.

Baedeker 1909

We will take with us our copy of the 1909 Baedeker Guide to Central Italy, as partly visible in the header photo. Ours is a mature original but it appears that it is now being reprinted in India.

This contains quite a lot of interesting information on our itineraries out of Perugia but much of the book is a massive guide to Rome.
